There are several constraints to conventional methods of hatch cover testing. Hose testing is not only time-consuming but also labour intensive.
We offer our services for testing hatch covers using ultrasonic equipment, with which the weather-tight integrity can be tested in a few minutes and in all conditions, even when there is cargo inside the hold. The equipment is portable and requires only one person to operate. The tests are less time consuming, safe, reliable and efficient. The results indicate not only the location but also the magnitude / extent of the leakage if any. It is thus also very useful when hatch cover, decks or coaming repairs are being undertaken, enabling the workshop to respond specifically and quickly, reducing overall costs.
